They were easy to house train, well socialized and smart. Geronimo Golden Retrievers were amazing to work with and incredibly accommodating. They provided great information on care for our puppy on take home day, and were very helpful with advice after that point!
Our puppy was happy, healthy, and had a great temperament. The transition to bringing him home was smooth and he was very trainable. He quickly adjusted to our cat in the residence and knew to be gentle around her. Fast forward 2 years now and we have a 5 month old daughter. Our Golden is incredibly gentle around her and is already becoming her little buddy!! We would recommend Geronimo golden retrievers to anyone looking for a Golden! They are wonderful people and we couldn’t be happier with our addition to our family!

Karissa was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She was very responsive and clear about the process. While I was new to the process of breeder pairing puppy to family, it went smoothly and we ended up with the best type of puppy for our family. We were looking for an active dog who could keep up with our Golden/Black Lab mix, but was also content to hang out and cuddle on Friday night. Mac (Jemma x Timer - June 2024) has been a great addition to our family. He’s 18-months old now and does enjoy running around with his brother, Finn, but is also a big love bug and loves to be with his people. I am a lover of the breed, and an experienced dog owner, and the process was great. I would be happy to work with Karissa and Geronimo Golden Retrievers again.

“Before Sundance came into our lives I was extremely nervous to add a puppy to our family. I spent several months researching everything there was to know about raising a dog well and anticipated the puppy blues, potty accidents, and destroyed shoes. Knowing Geronimo through their reputation, I did not question where I was going to purchase a pure bred golden retriever. I spent time observing the Geronimo facebook page where Karissa demonstrated her mindful breeding practices, knowledge and passion. Before Jemma was set to breed Karissa took time to answer all of my questions, which further solidified my excitement for getting a Geronimo golden. When Sundance was born we met the puppies, and seeing the health of their other dogs, and the clean open spaces that the puppies were kept in made me feel even more confident with our decision. Karissa’s business practices and ethics are designed to set her puppies up for success. Itruly believe the incredible temperament of Sundance is not only due to Karissa’s mindful pairing of dogs for breeding, but also the workshe puts into these puppies the moment they are born. Sundance was fully potty trained, crate trained and able to follow 5 commands (lay, sit, stay, middle and place) within the first 13 days of bringing him home. Though I can contribute some of this to my research andcommitment, I do believe it is also largely in part due to these intelligent dogs and their mindfully bred lineage. Sundance is acombination of the all around perfect dog- he is highly intelligent, athletic with complex agility, yet he is also an absolute cuddle bugand has the very silly, light hearted golden retriever spirit. At 15 months old he is still learning new commands and is eager to please. Sundance is not a hunter and is not going for titles yet. He is considered a house dog though he is definitely not a couch potato! We are an active family, so we spend our days with Sundance jogging, hiking, and playing fetch. He has been an absolute joy to our family and I am so glad we made the decision to work with Geronimo GoldenRetrievers!".

I purchased a puppy from Geronimo Goldens 3 years ago and all my expectation have been exceeded. I was looking for a breeder that would work with me in my quest for a puppy that would have the potential to become a Search and Rescue Dog. As a veterinarian I was very interested in many factors about a litter I was considering . When I found Karissa’s dedication to raising healthy puppies that have been given every advantage with careful consideration to genetics, parent personalities and titles, early neurological stimulation protocols and a raised in an emasculate environment, I knew I had found the breeder I wanted to purchase a puppy from.
I spoke many times with Karissa thru text and phone to determine if the litter she was planning might have a puppy with the personality and drive I was looking for. I knew this dog would need between 2 and 3 years of training to be a certified search and rescue dog so I wanted a dog that also fit into my lifestyle. Great drive with an off switch and a desire to use his nose topped my list . I found just what I was looking for in Geronimo’s Treasure Seeker the male puppy I chose from their winter 2022 litter .
Seeker has become a treasured member of our family who loves life and is equally happy working to find a lost person , playing with our grandchildren ,or sleeping on his bed . He also has contributed his genetic material to a service dog organization in Michigan (Paws With A Cause) as a stud dog with the plan for those puppies to become service dogs .
Thur the process of getting all the required genetic testing, OFA clearances , and titles for Seeker Karissa has continued to be a great resource for me as I navigated the requirements.
